1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions apply to use of the website at hairspringf.world and to all repair and servicing work carried out by hairspringf at 62 Thanon Khao San, Talat Yot, Bangkok 10200, Thailand. The word "workshop" refers to hairspringf and its operators. The word "you" refers to any person using this website or requesting services.
By using this website or leaving a watch for service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit a service request.
2. Website Use
This website is provided for information about the workshop and its services. You may use it for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or adapt its content without our written consent.
We aim to keep information on the website accurate and up to date. Prices and turnaround estimates shown are indicative and subject to confirmation at the time of a formal quotation. We may update content or withdraw pages without notice.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not endorse or take responsibility for the content of linked sites.
3. Service Enquiries
Completing and submitting the contact form on this website, or sending an email to the workshop, constitutes an enquiry only. No service arrangement is in place until the workshop has assessed your watch and you have given written or verbal authorisation to proceed with the agreed scope of work.
4. Assessment and Quotation
Before any repair work begins, the watch will be examined by the watchmaker. An assessment note will be provided explaining the condition of the piece and the work considered appropriate. A quotation will be agreed before any service begins.
The workshop reserves the right to decline any piece of work at its discretion, including where pre-existing condition, unusual construction, or a previous non-standard service makes the outcome difficult to predict.
Where an assessment reveals unexpected complexity once the movement is open, the workshop will contact you with a revised quotation before continuing. Work that would increase the price will not be carried out without your agreement.
5. Authorisation and Service Commencement
Service work begins only after you have agreed to the quotation. Agreement may be in writing (email or message) or verbally in person at the workshop. Once authorised, parts may be ordered and work scheduled; cancellation after this point may incur a fee to cover materials already sourced.
You warrant that you are the owner of the watch or have the authority of the owner to authorise repair work. The workshop accepts no responsibility for disputes arising from a lack of ownership or authority.
6. Turnaround Times
Turnaround estimates given at the time of quotation are reasonable expectations based on current workload and parts availability, not contractual commitments. Delays may arise from parts sourcing, unexpected complexity, or workshop scheduling. The workshop will communicate any significant change to an expected completion date.
7. Parts and Components
Where parts are replaced during a service, the original parts will be returned to you with the watch unless you indicate otherwise at drop-off. Replacement parts used are appropriate to the movement and sourced from reputable suppliers. New old stock (NOS) or compatible aftermarket parts may be used where original manufacturer parts are unavailable, and this will be communicated in the quotation.
8. Collection and Payment
The workshop will contact you when your watch is ready. Payment is due at the time of collection. We accept cash payment in Thai Baht and, where equipment is available, electronic transfer. Completed work remains the property of the workshop until payment is received in full.
9. Uncollected Watches
If a completed watch is not collected within 90 days of the workshop notifying you of completion, and the workshop has made reasonable attempts to contact you without response, the workshop reserves the right to charge a reasonable storage fee. Watches not collected within 12 months of completion notice may be disposed of at the workshop's discretion to recover outstanding costs, after further notice by recorded mail to the last known address.
10. Liability
The workshop takes reasonable professional care with every piece entrusted to it. It does not exclude liability for negligence resulting in damage to your watch. However, the workshop's liability is limited to the agreed service fee for the work in question unless damage results directly from gross negligence by the workshop's operators.
The workshop is not liable for pre-existing conditions that become apparent during or after a service, for the original or current market value of the watch, or for consequential loss of any kind.
Where a watch is submitted in a condition that indicates previous non-standard or incomplete service by another party, the workshop will note this in the assessment. Its liability is limited to the scope of the agreed work.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable Thai consumer protection legislation.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photography, layout, and design — is the property of hairspringf or is used with appropriate permission. You may not reproduce or adapt this content without written consent. Watch brands and registered trademarks referenced on this website are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. No affiliation, endorsement, or authorisation is implied.
12. Changes to These Terms
The workshop may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time a service is authorised is the version that applies to that service. Updated terms will be published on this page.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
